Detective Gerald A. Rauft 40-Year Remembrance Ceremony

This remembrance ceremony will take place in the 2nd floor lobby of Tampa Police headquarters.

Detective Rauft was shot and killed on 07/24/1981 during an undercover operation to purchase 100 pounds of marijuana. During the deal a shootout errupted and Detective Rauft was fatally wounded. Four suspects were apprehended.

Detective Rauft had been with the agency for eight years.
